EVANSVILLE/MONONA-Karl M. Schumacher, age 34, passed away at home on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, with his beloved wife, Samantha, at his side. He was born on Oct. 10, 1982, in Madison, the son of Larry and Susan (Niemczyk) Schumacher. Karl graduated from Monona Grove High School in 2001. He received his degree as an Electronic Technician from MATC in 2003. Karl married Samantha Joy on Sept. 30, 2012, at Milford Hills in Lake Mills. He worked at Bruker AXS, Inc., in Fitchburg, as a Test Technician. Karl loved the outdoors, duck and pheasant hunting with his brother, Tom, fly fishing, and any board, card or computer games. He was always busy building or making something. Karl was the best friend anyone could ask for and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Karl is survived by the love of his life, Samantha; his parents; sister, Sarah (Javi) Salazar; brother, Tom; one nephew; two nieces; canine, Judy; and Samantha's family, Diane (Steve DeBoer) Joy, Tom Joy, Brianna Joy, Amanda DeBoer and Danny DeBoer. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Martha Schumacher; and maternal grandparents, Stanley and Betty Niemczyk. A Funeral Service will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, with Father Chad Droessler presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ducks Unlimited and the American Cancer Society for colon cancer research.
