Alaska State Troopers said human remains believed to be those of missing teenager David Grunwald were found on Friday near Palmer.

Grunwald was reported missing November 13th.

According to an AST dispatch, the remains were found at about 2 p.m. in the Knik River Road area.

Troopers said the remains have been sent to the Office of the Medical Examiner for confirmation of the identity and cause of death.

A 16 year old teenager was arrested following the investigation.

Troopers said Erick Almandinger of Palmer is being charged as an adult for Murder in the First Degree and Kidnapping.

"Others involved in this incident have been identified but have not been charged as of yet," AST said.

AST is asking for the public's help in locating surveillance video containing footage of Grunwald or his Ford Bronco with the license plate JFM910.

The Bronco has a dark blue body with a thin tan stripe running along the side and matching trim.

Troopers are asking residents with surveillance cameras set up either at home or from their businesses in the Palmer/Wasilla area to review recorded footage from 11/13/2016 from 6 p.m. through 11/14/2016 at 11 a.m.
