The Allen County Coroner identified the woman who died in a head-on crash early Sunday morning.
The coroner's report identified the woman as Ashley Senters. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma due to a motor vehicle crash. The manner of death was ruled an accident.
Officers were called to W. Dupont Road, between Lima and Coldwater around 1:45 a.m. Sunday on report of the crash.
According to police at the scene, a car heading east struck an SUV heading west. Senters was driving the car and died at the scene. The woman driving the SUV was seriously hurt and was taken to the hospital.
Police told NewsChannel 15 that alcohol appears to have played a role in the crash.
W. Dupont Road was closed to traffic while officers investigated the crash.
