Police have identified Danielle Cote as the person who was killed in a Glendale collision that happened early Saturday morning.

Cote, 21, died in a single-vehicle collision near the area of 67th and Northern avenues, police said.

The Glendale Fire Department and Glendale police officers responded to the scene around 12:30 a.m. and found two individuals involved in a motorcycle accident, officials said. The driver James Swanson, 27, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and Cote was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Investigators believe the motorcycle was traveling south on 67th avenue when it hit a curb near an overpass. Both Swanson and Cote were ejected from the motorcycle upon impact.

Police said Swanson showed signs of impairment and charges are pending.
