Rachael Sledz, 34, formerly of Cleveland and resident of Rocky River, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, March 12, 2016. She was born May 3, 1981 in Cleveland and was a 1999 graduate of John Marshall High School. For the last 13 years she put her love of reading and movies to work as a shift leader at Half Price Books in North Olmsted. She was an autodidact, and had passion for accumulating obscure knowledge and trivia. She enjoyed music and had a lovely singing voice, which some may have witnessed during karaoke or choir. Both coworkers and family can testify that anyone had to be careful around her, since she was a legendary prankster with wicked wit and fast comebacks, with the ability to imitate a roster of movie and television characters. Rachael is survived by her mother Marilyn (nee Horstman) of Cleveland, two sisters Dawn Magnasco (Mario) of Sheffield Lake and Amanda Sledz (Nolon Ashley) of Portland OR, as well as two nieces Rayne and Simone Magnasco to whom she was known as Aunt Chull. Her father, Thomas P. Sledz, who passed away February 11, 2014, precedes her in death. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Friday, March 18 from 6:00-7:00pm, with a celebration of Rachael's life at the funeral home at 7:00pm. 440-933-3202 www.buschcares.com
