Dakota Lee Knaub, 28, passed into his Lord's hands on Saturday, October 15, 2016, after a long battle with addiction. Born June 1, 1988, he was the son of Jacqueline (Mama Dukes) and Michael (Pops) Knaub. Even through his constant struggle with addiction, he never lost the gifts that God gave him, which were his heart of gold and the ability to show others how much he loved them. As a mother and father, we couldn't love a child more and his friends will attest to his ability to always lend a helping hand when needed either emotionally or physically. Dakota loved hunting, fishing, four wheeling, motorcycles, camping and being outdoors. But the love he showed family and friends was immeasurable.
He is survived by his mother and father; his brother, Bob and wife Ang; nephew, Dante; nieces, Isolde and Thylane; and a nephew/niece due in December. He is also survived by his grandfather, Charles J. Stine, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who will remember his contagious smile, compassion, and sense of humor.
A celebration of life service for Dakota will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Diehl Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 87 S. Main St., Mt. Wolf. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Hoover's Cemetery, (Starview) Mount Wolf. Officiating at his service will be pastor Samuel Velez.
Memorial contributions can be made in his name to "Not One More", York Chapter, P.O. Box 95, Dover, PA 17315.
