November 25, 1963 - April 29, 2017

Tammy Jean Mackey, 53, of Anacortes, devoted wife, momma, and Nana, left Earth for her Heavenly home on April 29, 2017, at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA, surrounded by her loving friends and family.

She was born on November 25, 1963 in Oak Harbor, WA, the daughter of Charles Gill and Sharon Crawford.

She graduated from Burlington Edison High School in June, 1982, and married Brian Mackey two months later on August 28th.

Tammy's life revolved around two things; her Savior Jesus and her family. In earlier years, she spent much of her time at home raising her girls, teaching them the secrets of her raspberry jam and homemade pie crust. Tammy was also actively involved at Family Life Assembly of God, where she enjoyed teaching and ministering to the women of the congregation.

After her girls left the house, Tammy loved spending time outside with her horse and working at Island Hospital, where she was privileged to encourage other women battling cancer in the oncology department.

In recent years, Tammy's greatest joy was shopping for her grandbabies and giving them her special Nana baths.

Tammy is survived by her loving family, husband Brian, of Anacortes, WA, daughter Jennifer Rorabaugh, her husband Michael and their daughter Reese, of Austin TX, daughter Laura Mansfield, her husband Kelvin and their daughter Emmeline of Denver, CO, and daughter Melissa Hubner, her husband Mason, and their daughter Maylin, of Monrovia, IN. She is also survived by her mother, Sharon Crawford, father, Charles Gill, sister, Deanna Dompe, brother Shawn Fedina, and countless other friends and family members.

Tammy is interred at Fernhill Cemetery in Anacortes. Contributions in the memory of Tammy may be made to the Merle Cancer Center via the Island Hospital Foundation.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., Anacortes and the San Juan Islands.
