Stein Erich Stevenson of Orem, UT was born January 18, 1974 in Salt Lake City, UT to Ford and Karen Stevenson. He was an active, fun loving boy. He was an Eagle Scout and loved scouting. He graduated from Orem High School. He served an LDS Mission to San Diego, CA where he touched the lives of many and a place he considered his second home. His time on earth ended Friday, May 12, 2017.

Stein was a caring person and he valued the relationships he made throughout his life. He had a big heart and he loved helping and serving others. Stein had the ability to treat people with love and respect without judgement. He spent a lot of time helping those with special needs, whether it was taking a neighbor to a movie or transporting wheelchair bound adults to church every week. He radiated love and was the most happy when helping others. He was an avid and faithful member of AA and the Twelve Step program. Those who knew him from these organizations often said he was a very supportive and encouraging person who wanted others to work hard and succeed in their recovery.

Stein was a skilled electrician and handyman and enjoyed working hard regardless of the task. He loved the outdoors, especially skiing, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed watching sports, going to concerts, and was an avid movie goer. He spent a lot of time with family and friends, being known to his nieces and nephews, as the fun uncle. He was a fun-loving person who enjoyed life and he always made those around him laugh or smile. We will miss Stein and the joy that he brought to this world.

He was preceded in death by his mother Karen Stevenson, cousin John Vanderbeek, uncle Dave Hale, and all four grandparents. He is survived by his father, Ford Stevenson (stepmother-Roselle) Grandparents Richard and Carma Andersen, siblings Desiree Crump (Scott), Todd (Jennifer), Travis (Heather), Jeremy (Carrie), Ryan (Lisset) and Heidi, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the LDS Chapel on 310 North 100 East in Orem, UT. We invite friends and family to attend, remember Stein, and spend time together. A funeral will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at the LDS Chapel on 200 East 200 North in Orem, UT. A short viewing will precede the funeral from 10:00-10:45 pm. The interment will take place at the Orem City Cemetery.
