Logan Reid Chesnut, 20, of Johns Creek, GA, died January 11, 2011. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 15th, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Duluth/Johns Creek. The family will receive friends Friday, January 14th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home in Norcross. Logan was a freshman at Georgia Southern University studying Mechanical Engineering with the GA Tech program. He graduated in 2008 from Northview High School where he was a member of the swim team and lacrosse team and a coach on the Medlock Bridge Subdivision Swim Team. He previously attended Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville where he participated in soccer, lacrosse, swimming, and wrestling. Logan was a new member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. He is survived by his father, David O. Chesnut, III of Roswell; mother, Amy Chesnut of Johns Creek; sister, Cayci Chesnut of Johns Creek; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. D.O. and Read Chesnut of Brunswick; maternal grandmother, Beverly Dwyer of Hinsdale, IL; beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
