A man is dead after a stabbing on the east side Thursday night.
According to police, 20-year-old Savon Lamont Ligon was killed after he was stabbed by 21-year-old Marcus Maurice Curtis. Police said the incident happened in the 400 block of N Nelson Rd just after 11 p.m.
Police were called to the scene on the report of a fight. When they arrived, they found Ligon suffering from apparent stab wounds. He was rushed to Grant Medical Center in serious condition. Ligon was pronounced dead two hours later at 1:08 a.m.
