On May 25th, 2017 we lost our son. Our daughter and son lost their brother, our grandchildren lost their father and many lost their friend. Heroin is a bastard!
At the young age of 31, Colin James Konopaski, left us for a place we pray brings him peace. So many of us tried to save him, hoping and praying that he would find peace and purpose here on earth.
He was easy to love even though we often felt frustrated, mad, scared and helpless as he struggled through life fighting the demons within. Colin was a charmer, flashy dresser (rarely seen without a tie), outgoing, good with people and, most importantly, is the father to two beautiful, kind, smart, loving children.
He will forever be in our hearts.
