Erica Kay Ruis, 20, of Prince George, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 6, 2017. Erica was a beautiful girl who was deeply loved by her family. She lost a long hard battle against depression and addiction. She fought this battle for many years with her family by her side.

She is survived by her parents, Johnnie and Angela Ruis; sister, Katie Ruis; grandparents, Brenda Scudder (Bob), John R. Harrison, Jr., William B. Ruis, Jr. and Linda Ruis; great grandmothers, Doretha Clark, Betty Harrison; and numerous extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3512 Virginia St., Hopewell, VA 23860. Graveside services will be private.
