Ashleigh Nacole Neely, 25, of Lorain passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born February 15, 1992 in Lorain. She graduated from Admiral King High School in 2010. While in school, she was a cheerleader, played volleyball and softball, participated in the marching band and was part of the Young Scholars Program. She attended The Ohio State University, and was currently enrolled in Lorain County Community College, pursing her nursing degree. Ashleigh attended Fairfield Christian Center of Worship and Praise in Lorain. She was working at Brilliant Start Academy, where she was the lead infant teacher. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by her mother, Anissa Neely; father, Michael (Lettie) Taylor; step-father, Jose Lopez Jr.; two sisters. Amber Lopez and Alicia Taylor; three brothers, Justin Lopez, Michael Taylor and Markeith Lopez; grandparents, Marion (Jerry) Wells and Raymon (Priscilla) Wren; step-grandmother, Santita Lopez, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Ashleigh was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Ann Neely, step-grandfather, Jose Lopez Sr. and an uncle, Herman Seagers.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at New Life Deliverance Ministries, 400 Washington Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
