A Lillington man died Monday, a day after being shot in Erwin, authorities said.

Harnett County deputies responded to a shots fired call at 5151 N.C. Highway 217 at about 4 a.m. Sunday.

Tevin Walker, 23, had already been taken in a private vehicle to Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dunn, authorities said. Later in the day, he was transferred to WakeMed in Raleigh, where he died early Monday.

No other details of the shooting have been released.
