Jeffrey Scott Koenig, Jr, 29, died March 7, 2017 at Novant-Huntersville following an illness. He was born in Charlottesville, Va, son of Jeffrey Scott Koenig, Sr. of Ranlo and Cheryl Merrill Koenig of Jonas Ridge, NC. He was a graduate of South Point High School in Belmont, and was an engineering consultant in the telecom industry. He grew up in Florida, and for that reason he loved fishing and the Miami Dolphins.
Survivors in addition to his parents include a sister Allison Bumgardner and husband Jeremy of Gastonia, two nieces Brielle and Zoe, and his companion Carla Singleton.
A memorial service conducted by the Reverend Austin Rammell will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Florida Wildlife Commission, P.O. Box 11010, Tallahassee, FL 32302
