The body of a woman missing for over a week was found in South Park Township Saturday morning, officials have confirmed.

Officials said the body was found in a wooded area near the 6300 block of Library Road by people who were searching the area for the missing woman.

The body was positively identified as 52-year-old Diane Chotta by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office.

Police said no foul play is suspected at this time based on a preliminary analysis of the scene.

Chotta, who went missing Dec. 27, was last seen at a bar in the 4100 block of Brownsville Road, surveillance video showed. The distance between the bar and the area police activity was confirmed is less than half a mile.

Chotta's car was found at a Port Authority park-and-ride lot Wednesday evening.

Chotta was staying with her mother, Ruth Pope, in Bethel Park during the Christmas holiday season. She left a handwritten note for her mother around 1 p.m. Dec. 27 that said "Be back in a little while. Love, Diane."
