Richard "Rich" R. Devanney, 46, of Durham died October 17, 2011.
He was born March 8, 1965, in Lowell MA to Carol and Raymond Devanney. He is survived by his mother and step-father Carol and Bill Butt, his step-mother Carol Devanney, his sister Donna and her partner Michele Barr, his step-sisters Marion Adams and Roberta Mastraccio, Step-brothers Bill, George and John Butt, John and Danny Raymond and long-time partner Betty "Cissy" Whipple and her mother, Elizabeth Cable.
In 2007 Rich and Betty moved down from New Hampshire to North Carolina to be closer to family. Rich was a good son, big brother, partner, and a great friend. Richard also served in the U.S. Navy and the Danville, NH Volunteer Fire Department.
A gathering of remembrance will be held at the family home, 2:00pm Sunday, October 23.
