A shooting Friday during a disturbance at an apartment complex left a Hillsboro woman dead.

The disturbance was reported just before 9 a.m. at 309 Interstate 35 in Hillsboro.

Moments later a second 911 call was placed to report that shots had been fired, police said.

The 27-year-old woman, identified Saturday as Deonshira Slider, was taken to Hill Regional Hospital and then was transferred to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where she died, police said.
