Jared William Chitwood, 15, of Richmond, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at University of Kentucky Children's Hospital.
Born July 16, 2002, in Lexington, he was the son of Kimberly Ann Spivey and William Todd Chitwood and a student of Madison Central High School. Jared attended Eastside Christian Church and was an avid sports enthusiast. A member of the Archery Team for seven years he enjoyed a love of outdoor activities.
In addition to his parents Jared is also survived by maternal grandparents, Aubrey and Patsy Spivey and paternal grandparents, Linda Chitwood and Jerry (Ann) Chitwood. He is also survived by his twin brother, Justin Chitwood and older brother Brandon Chitwood and his dog, Gracie. Other survivors include his Aunts and Uncles; Sherrie (George) Robbins, Toni Chitwood and Chad Spivey along with cousins Ashley, Emily and Molly Robbins; Nathan, Lauren and Brian Urbanic and special neighborhood friends.
Funeral service for Jared will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at The First Baptist Church in Richmond, KY with Virgil Grant and Paul Sowders officiating, burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Chitwood, Brandon Chitwood, George Robbins, Richie Pennington, Mickey Strunk and Eddie Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Madison County Sheriff's Office and Department Members. Visitation will be after 5:00PM Monday, March 26th 2018 at The First Baptist Church. Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
