A man who was killed after being electrocuted Thursday in Johnstown has been identified.

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees identified the man as 30-year-old Christopher J. Diaz, of Butler, Pennsylvania. Lees said Diaz died of electrocution and deemed the manner accidental.

Diaz was working for Insight Pipe LLC. on a sewer project on DuPont Street in Johnstown Thursday when he was electrocuted around 10:30 a.m.

Lees said a machine the crew was working with struck a 23,000-volt high-tension line, at which point the volts went down the machine and electrocuted Diaz.

Two other workers who were trying to pull the machine off Diaz were injured and taken to the hospital.

OSHA continues to investigate the accident.
