A second victim of a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night on Manito Road died early Friday.
Dawn Sharp, 35, of Peoria was pronounced dead at 4:45 a.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, where she and her husband were taken by Life Flight helicopter after the accident, the Peoria County Coroner's Office confirmed.
Christopher Sharp, 42, was released from the hospital Thursday night. Both he and his wife had been listed in fair condition earlier in the day.
The identity of a female passenger in the Sharps' vehicle who died in the crash also was released Friday.
Iris Nicole Crawley, 33, was identified following an autopsy Thursday. She had no identification papers, and her last known address remained undetermined, according to the Tazewell County Coroner's Office.
Dawn Sharp was driving north in the 10000 block of Manito Road near Manito about 6:20 p.m. when her vehicle was struck head-on by a southbound car driven by Armond Arnold, 70, of Pekin. Arnold said he swerved into the oncoming lane to avoid an object in his path. He was treated for minor injuries and cited for improper lane usage.
