A Highland Village teen was fatally injured in a head-on collision in Argyle early Sunday morning.

Christian Durham, 18, died at 3:46 a.m. in the 1000 Block of East FM 407, just east of I-35W.

Details of the accident are still under investigation, but authorities believe Durham's sedan crossed over into the path of another sedan going in the opposite direction, according to a press release from the Argyle Police Department.

Durham died at the scene. A female passenger in his car survived and was transported to Medical City Denton.

The male driver of the other vehicle was also transported to Medical City Denton for treatment.

The roadway was closed with the assistance of TxDOT for five hours while crash team investigators from Argyle, Roanoke, Southlake and Bartonville worked the scene.

The 2018 Marcus High School graduate was planning to study nursing at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas.
