Cheyanne Lee (Frame) Woodward was born in Haxtun, CO on September 20, 1972. She passed peacefully into the loving arms of our savior on July 30, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.



She was the oldest child of Lawrence Lee Frame and Susan Elizabeth (Kruger) Carey. She lived at the Cottonwood ranch as a small child before moving to the town of Wray, CO, where she would spend the rest of her childhood attending school from elementary through graduation with the class of 1991 from Wray High School. She attended CU-Boulder for 2 years before she took a break to raise two wonderful children that were the center of her world. Kayla Brooke Hinkle arrived January 8, 1995 and Brandon David Hinkle followed a couple years later, on September 22, 1997 (forever sharing "Princess Month" with his mother). She moved with her family and children to Yuma in 1997 forever becoming a member of our Tribe much to the chagrin of her fellow Eagles. Cheyanne worked selling Aflac insurance for numerous years before returning to school for her BA from Colorado Christian. After graduating, she began what she assumed would be a temporary position with the pre school in Yuma, CO. She soon realized that teaching young children was her passion and the path that the Lord had chosen for her. She went through the alternative licensing program and began a life-fulfilling career as an elementary teacher at Morris Elementary School in Yuma. She began teaching kindergarten before moving to the first grade. She blessed the lives of hundreds of children, parents and co-workers during her career and she leaves a lasting legacy that will be remembered for many years to come. She was forced to retire in the spring of 2018 due to effects of her illness. It was one of the hardest days of her life leaving the children she loved so much.



She was united in marriage to Robert Laybourn Woodward on October 13, 2012 at NLCC in Eckley. The glow of happiness she shined with never went away after that day.



She was a longtime member of New Life Christian Center and active in teaching Sunday School for many years. Her faith in the Lord was the most important thing in her life and she reflected his glory in all that she did. During her illness, she was a beacon of strength and courage to numerous women throughout the country. She always said "It's not me, it's God working through me." She was able to help countless women across the country with the journey that they were on with guidance, strength and compassion. Late night phone calls, text sessions or FB chats were the norm in her life. She was always available to anyone who needed encouragement. There are over 20 women who had early detection and won their battle because of her. That was one her proudest accomplishments that she was able to help others even during her greatest time of need.



Her own children were her greatest source of pride and she loved watching them participate in all their activities as they have grown in to incredible young adults. Watching Kayla and Brandon in the numerous theatre productions in Yuma, where they both excelled was one of the things she looked forward to each year. Track season was another one of her favorite times of the year. Watching Kayla run track and sing in the choir and theatre productions and Brandon run track and pole vault and along with both kids' numerous band concerts gave her great joy. She never missed one of the kids' events. She was fortunate to be able to watch Brandon continue his vaulting into college where she made a whole new group of friends "the Pole Vault Moms". She always knew every kid that participated with her own and was able to tell you what event they ran in track or what instrument they played in band. She loved them all, although she still got that special warm feeling when she was focused on watching just her kids.



She will forever be remembered for her kindness and compassion. Her scotcheroos were world famous, even if she refused to cut anything bigger than a "Chey sized piece". She leaves a lasting legacy that will be hard to replicate. She was a loving mother, friend and inspiration to anyone fortunate enough to have crossed her path. She touched everyone she ever made contact with, with her special smile and caring nature. She was a Warrior Princess to the very end.



She was preceded in death by her Step Father David Carey, Grandfather Tom Frame, Grandmother Theresa Willman, Grandparents Harry and Betty Carey, Aunt Connie Arnold-Self and Aunt Karen Hufman.



She is survived by her husband Robert, Daughter Kayla Waters (Skyler), Son Brandon Hinkle, Son Brevin Woodward, Parents, Larry Frame (Gaylene) and Sue Carey, Sisters, Jenny Leck (Ivan), Terri Frame (Erick), Renee Odell (Tyrell) and Jessica Richards (Corey), Grandmother Georgine Mentor (Rood), Grandmother Sandy Frame, Mother in law, Judy Woodward, Brothers in law, Jeff Woodward (Angela), Trip Gardner (Jason) and numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. And coming soon, a baby grandson.



Services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, 2:00 pm at New Life Christian Center in Eckley, CO.
