A 17-year-old boy is dead after he was shot on Cleveland's east side Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the shooting occurred near East 93rd St. and Sophia Ave. The victim (who was apparently shot in the neck) was taken to MetroHealth Buckeye Medical Center, where he later died. His name has not yet been released.
