It is with great sorrow we announce the death of our son, brother, friend, grandson and light. An undiscovered heart condition lead to the premature end of this truly kind man's journey, leaving a void in the lives he touched. He was raised in Kaysville and completed his schooling in Salt Lake City, graduating from Brighton High School in 2003. He pursued his studies at night while working full time, earning an Associate's degree from Salt Lake Community College. Andy was completing his journeyman qualification as a member of the Utah Sheet Metal Workers Union.

Andy was known to his friends, family and acquaintances as a universally warm presence. Always eager to please and known to put the interests of others before himself, Andy had an innate curiosity that compelled him to read constantly and explore eclectic topics. His intellectual world was boundless when it came to reading, although when pressed he would admit to reading lowbrow thrillers. Andy was a devoted weightlifter, having achieved a record bench press of 340 pounds. In addition to an appreciation for wine, Andy had a culinary talent and a wide ranging palate with room for just about any type of food.

Andy is survived by his parents, Heide Nelson and William Aamodt; his brother, David Aamodt; his grandparents, Gisela & Jack Brereton and Shirley & David Aamodt; along with a large extended family.

People that knew and loved Andy are invited to attend a graveside service, planned for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 20th, at the Farmington City Cemetery, 500 South 200 East, Farmington, Utah 84025.
