Julia Louis-Dreyfus' half-sister -- Emma Louis-Dreyfus -- died of a seizure after overdosing on cocaine and alcohol, according to the Nevada County Coroner's Office.

Emma, 44, passed away on Aug. 13 at a campsite near a popular hiking trail in South Yuba River State Park, California; however, it took until today for major media outlets to make the connection that she was related to the "Veep" star. Julia and Emma shared billionaire father William Louis-Dreyfus. While the family published an obituary soon after Emma's death, Julia has yet to publicly comment on the passing of her sibling.

According to The Union, which reported on Emma's toxicology results on Sept. 11, Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Sullivan said Emma had "elevated amounts" of cocaine and alcohol in her system at the time of her death, which he ruled "accidental."

The Union reported that Emma was camping near Purdon Crossing with three or four other people when she began seizing. When first responders arrived, Emma was unresponsive. They attempted life-saving measures, but she did not survive.

According to The Daily Mail, Emma did not leave behind a will at the time of her death and had an estate worth $23 million. She had recently invested $4.5 million into setting up a company that would develop property for marijuana production.
