On December 30, 2018 surrounded by her loving family Allyson passed peacefully to join hands with the Lord. At 38, her several year fight with Ovarian Cancer ended. She was born September 29, 1980 to Beth and Jeffrey Jensen. Raised in Caldwell, she graduated Caldwell High School as a multi-sport athlete, member of the Madrigals choir, and National Honor Society. She went on to earn a criminal justice degree from the University of Idaho where she was the life of many a party, and beloved sister in the Delta Gamma sorority. She met her husband and the love of her life in 2015, and they were married in July of 2018.
Allyson had a passion for life and loved nothing more than to spend her time and share her adventures with family and friends. Among her favorites were skiing in the winter, summer days basking in the sun and playing volleyball at her father's pool, Sunday brunch, live music at a local winery laughing and showing off her sweet dance moves. Traveling brought such a smile to her face whether it was a weekend trip to McCall, Holidays in Sun Valley, or road trips to Lagoon for her adrenaline fix riding rollercoasters. She made her dream trip to Ireland alongside her husband, sisters, best friend and their spouses. While traveling the Irish countryside and staying in castles she created many cherished memories. "Take a drink Jensen!" She wholeheartedly lived and loved each day, always smiling and laughing, her presence and vitality always shining through. We imagine her basking in the sunshine, showing off her dance moves on a new grassy lawn, in pain no more and sadness nowhere to be found.
Always engulfed in laughter and surrounded by love she was always meeting and befriending people wherever she went. She is survived by her husband Shane Koski, mother Beth A Bowman, father Jeffrey S Jensen, sisters Hayley Urrutia and Abby Jensen, nieces Aubrey Jensen and Lili Urrutia, nephew Connor Jensen, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and countless friends and loved ones. Our favorite girl will be loved and missed forever.
We will be having a celebration of life for Allyson on Sunday January 20, 2019 at Indian Creek Steakhouse, in Caldwell, Id from 2-5pm. Please come and share some stories with us. We encourage you to bring pictures to share, along with your stories.
Think of stepping onto the shore and finding it heaven; taking hold of a hand to find it God's. Of passing from storm and stress, waking to perfect calm and finding it home.
