On March 6, 2011 God called home the beautiful soul of Kentley Charles Holley, age 33, after a long and valiant battle with cancer, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Glendive Alliance Church in Glendive, Montana with Ed Williamson officiating. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements. Kentley was born on March 30, 1977, in La Grange, Texas to Merrill (Lonnie) Mitchell and Gloria (Scott) Mitchell. He was raised and educated in Weimar, Texas graduating from Weimar High School with the class of 1995. Following his high school education Kentley attended college in Austin, Texas. After college, Kentley was employed by Blackman working with hazardous materials. Kentley moved to Glendive in 2006 to be with the love of his life and future wife Chrissy. When Kentley first arrived to Glendive, he was employed by the Watch East Program and in 2008 he went to work for Bridger Pipeline where he was employed until his death. Kentley married the love of his life Christina Quinn on January 22, 2008 in Glendive. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed teaching his sons how to play football and baseball, and really liked coaching little league football. Kentley was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Tennessee Titans. He took pleasure working on vehicles and was looking forward to one day owning a 1964 Lincoln Continental hoping to restore it to its former glory. Kentley enjoyed many days with Chrissy's family hunting and shooting. His daughter Baylee was his special little Princess and she had her daddy wrapped around her little finger. Kentley touched the lives of many people with his kindness and concern. He will always remain in our hearts and will be forever loved and missed. We were all blessed to share his life the short time we had him with us. He will be smiling down on us all from Heaven. Rest assured we all have a guardian angel watching over us. Kentley is preceded in death by his father Lonnie Mitchell and his grandfather Charles C. Scott. Survivors include his wife Chrissy of Glendive; two sons, Jayden and Avery; daughter Baylee all of Glendive; daughter Laynee Welch of Waco, Texas; his mother, Gloria Mitchell of Weimar; a sister, Scarlette Holley of Katy, Texas; a brother, Derrill Mitchell of Weimar; a sister, Melanie Mitchell of Weimar; and his maternal grandmother, Sadie Mae Scott of Weimar.
