DAVENPORT - Akeim Kenza Hill, 17, of Davenport was taken from his family and friends due to an act of gun violence on Friday, May 12, 2017. Funeral services will be at noon on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Davenport.
Akeim was born on March 2, 2000, to Kristina Taylor and Lucas Hill. He was a student at Davenport North High School. He excelled in football, baseball and basketball. He spent a lot of his free time at the YMCA. He enjoyed playing 2K17. His dream was to play football at Michigan State University.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Kristina; step-fathers, Johnny Booth and Peter Chamberlain; five brothers, Kaalon Jackson, Kenye Booth, AkiMikal Booth, Lukas Hill, and Zarius Hill; two sisters, Angilee Rhoden and Ariana Hill; grandpa, Timothy Kobel; paternal grandparents, Lucious and Arnita Hill; aunt and uncle, Sarah Michelle Kobel and Jace Kobel; his long time love, Isabelle Bishoff; and supportive mother, Cynthia Foley and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lucas Hill, and grandmother, Laura Kobel.
