Richmond – The day Tabatha died a part of us died along with her. We will miss her every day for the rest of our lives. The pain of her death is heartbreaking and intolerable, which is why stories like Tabatha's should not be ignored. The only way we will conquer the heroin epidemic is to share our stories and raise awareness. Hers was a 10 year struggle, starting with opioids and progressing to heroin. Many loved ones did everything they could to get her to stop; she was in and out of rehabs but lost the battle.

The illness and addiction that had stolen Tabatha's sparkle took her life. Her friends and family will remember her for the beautiful, funny, smart, sunny beacon of light that she was. Our broken hearts will forever feel the loss and emptiness of her absence.

She was loved by many who will continue to cherish the time and memories they shared with her. It will be through these stories and memories that her son Jordan will grow up knowing what a wonderful, loving and kind woman his mother was.

Tabatha Howe 29 was born January 8th 1989 and died November 11th 2018. Tabatha was an accomplished dental assistant and writer and hoped one day to become an addiction therapist. She loved her dog Bella whom was by her side at all times.

She is survived by her mother Kathy Hodgkin, step father Keith Hodgkin, father Todd Howe, son Jordan William Washington Colburn II, and brother Travis Kirkman, aunts uncles, and cousins. All of whom loved her very much. Many thanks to all that reached out to us during this difficult time.

A Memorial service will be held 1:00PM Monday November 19, 2018 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11:00AM to 1:00PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Jordan Colburn II Trust Fund in care of Tabitha's mother Kathy Hodgkin.
