A Mason County teen has drowned after being reported missing.
Albrianna Jane Huck, 14, of Ludington, was reported missing from Stearns Beach around 7:55 p.m. Thursday by a family member that went to the beach with Huck and her brother.
Multiple crews, including the United States Coast Guard-Station Ludington and Air Station Traverse City, searched the beach and park areas for Huck.
Chief Mark Barnett said searchers were advised that the USCG helicopter crew located someone on the shoreline in the area of Lakeshore Drive waving at them around 9:50 p.m.
When they arrived at the location, emergency crews began CPR.
According to Barnett, CPR was continued on Huck while she was being transported to the Loomis Street Boat Ramp via USCG boat and then on to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
Huck was pronounced dead at the hospital around 11:20 p.m.
