A Gillette man was killed in a bike-car crash Saturday on U.S. Highway 14 (about 20 miles north of Mooreroft in Crook County) just three days after he bought his motorcycle.

In a release, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says Arthur W. Mccuin, 34, was westbound and may have been having trouble seeing since he was only wearing his clear prescription glasses. When his bike drifted into the oncoming lane he braked hard, causing him to lose control and slide into a car driven by Donald R. Hunsecker, from Kansas.

The patrol believes inexperience (no motorcycle endorsement on the license) and vision limited from a foreign object in Mccuin?s eyes are contributing factors in this crash. Also, Mccuin was not wearing a helmet.

Neither Hunsecker or his passenger, Elisabeth Hunsecker, were injured.
