A tragic accident has taken the lives of a mother and her two children. The accident occurred at around 12:30 pm Monday afternoon in the city of Springtown. 25 year old Brittany Counts of Springtown, 7 year old Wyatt Mask and 4 year old Preslee Mask died when their Ford Edge collided with a pick-up on state highway 199.

The mother was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck the rear of a pick-up driven by 50 year old Michael Pesqueda of Springtown, causing Count?s vehicle to spin into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by another pick-up.

The driver of the second pick-up, 72-year-old Beauford Basped, Jr., of Kennedale, was taken to a Fort Worth area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
