Brian Sicknick, police officer who died after the pro-Trump siege of the US Capitol on 6 January.

Sicknick responded to Wednesday's riots and "was injured while physically engaging with protesters," Capitol Police said in a statement. "He returned to his division office and collapsed."
He was taken to a hospital, where he died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Sicknick's body will lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda beginning Tuesday evening after receiving approval from both chambers of Congress. He becomes only the fifth American to ever lie in honor in the Capitol – an honor reserved for private citizens.
