A predawn shooting in Anniston left one woman dead and another behind bars.
The shooting happened about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Hillyer Robinson Industrial Parkway, said Anniston police Lt. Tim Suits. Officers arrived to find 30-year-old Ashley Lindsey suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Lindsey was taken to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center where she later died.
Few details have been released but investigators identified the suspect as 27-year-old Brianna Jo Adams. Both women are from Anniston. Adams later turned herself in to officers at the Anniston Police Department.
She is charged with murder and is being held in the Calhoun County Jail on $60,000. This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
